Rydges Mackay Suites

Thankful of an upgrade to our room which was lovely. Rydges doing a bit of renovation and our room had touches of new paint. Carpet worn in areas especially those areas that once were concealed by tv unit etc. Bed comfortable & tvs in both the bedroom and lounge. Bit of housekeeping needed in their carpark on Level One, balconies that were not accessible from other rooms have debris on them which was an eyesore. Staff helpful but there was a problem with the refunding of the $100 security bond. Staff member unable to complete the refund and said as they have my card details she would chase it up and refund. 3.5days later I’ve contacted Rydges to notify no refund to be told a supervisor was looking after all the “open accounts”. Not good enough that I had not received any communication & had to chase up myself. End result I then made another trip of 40kms into Mackay to finalise the refund process.

Great customer service, friendly & helpful staff. Lovely view from the 6th floor window. Air-conditioner was perfct. Enjoyed the complementary shampoo, conditioner, and bodywash. Bed was super comfortable, with no complaints there. Restaurant Moss on Woods did a delicious breakfast. Great walking distance to many shops and restaurants

It was an amazing suite Peaceful Relaxing

The room was clean and tidy. Staff were great. Location is great. There is a washing machine / dryer in the room which was awesome. Overall I like to stay here each time I work in Mackay

Well located in CBD with free parking. Easy access to great walks around the Pioneer River. Comfortable if somewhat small room. Good idea to credit customers with a $10 voucher for each day they chose to re-use towels.
